Robert Haflinger started training with Kokikai Aikido in 2014 under Otto Liebmann sensei in Providence, RI. He opened Dover Kokikai Aikido in 2022 after he moved to Dover, NH with his family. Robert has been living and working as a carpenter in Dover since 2017. He is fond of skiing and whitewater canoeing, but his true joy is training and playing with his Kokikai family!
AKF USA is the umbrella organization for all Kokikai dojos in the United States. They hold several national camps across the country throughout the year so practitioners from various dojos can meet, train, and share their experiences. These camps were a great opportunity to learn from Sensei Maruyama himself, but more recently for senior instructors to teach and hold testing and demonstrations to ensure the quality of Kokikai Aikido. For the past several years they have also organized a Spring trip to Nagoya, Japan to train in Sensei's home dojo.
